This handmade Yamaha LL500, c. 1999, features a solid Sitka spruce top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides. An ebony fingerboard sits on a mahogany neck. Scale length is 25 9/16", and nut width is 1 11/16". There is a clear pickguard as well, which may be hard to see in photos.
We've replaced the first 12 frets, as the previous owner had some frets replaced (poorly, but with only a few small chips on the fingerboard). There is also a Fishman Matrix Natural pickup installed, which has a preamp on the input jack but no controls. The original nut has been adjusted by us, and we've replaced the saddle with bone. There is slight frosting on the headstock finish, and the finish on the back of the neck shows evidence of regular capo usage, but neither affects playing.
